As predicted we got some snow on Wednesday and Thursday, which made for some fun powder skiing. We headed over to Switzerland to ski the couloirs. Not many people ski these as they are a bit hidden, so you can still get fresh tracks days after it has snowed. The rest of the week was very sunny and warm. I spent a lot of time in the half pipe and learnt alley-oops 360s. We also skied up in the Fornet bowl in Avoriaz. There are loads of natural hits and it stays in the sun all day so the snow stays nice and soft. On Friday night we went down to the Montriond church and filmed some of our housemates jib a street rail and a drop. Tim (my boyfriend) used the footage in the latest episode of Snowfix. Check it out at www.snowfix.tv. Snowfix is a podcast he makes, and there will be a new episode each week so stay tuned!

Today was an amazing day on the mountain, a perfect blue bird and then once we had finished skiing it started dumping and just didn’t stop. It looks like it going to be clear tomorrow and over the next few days, and then more snow is forecast for the weekend. So it looks like it is going to be an amazing week, I can’t wait!
One of our friends recommended we visit the Thonnon-Les-Bains flea market. So on Saturday morning we headed down the hill down to Thonnon in search of the infamous market. After pulling over and asking random French people for directions we eventually found the market. The market is just a massive shed absolutely packed with stuff. You can get absolutely anything, and everything is very, very cheap. We bought loads of things, the best probably being the old school one pieces and my fur coat! Perfect for fancy dress…
